Orchids can be a great pick-me-up in the winter cold. You don’t have to worry about taking them outside as long as  they are totally covered by a plastic or paper bag and you move them from a warm store to a warm car as quickly as possible. Once you have them at home, don’t place them on a heat source on in a draft (warm or cold).
