Tis the season… to look for bloom spikes.

Phalaenopsis and cymbidium should begin to set spikes in the next few months.  Look for them on the newest bulbs of your cymbidium and at the leaf joint above and opposite the last bloom stem. Then be patient. Buds develop at their own rate, just like children do.  The more we have sunny days, the more you get growth. Remember, no drafts and no water on the buds. Happy blooming.
